About Us

Carrie Rivera manages multi-disciplinary content creation activities at Lowman Education. Prior to joining our team, Carrie spent 15 years in the Texas education system, serving as a secondary social studies teacher and department chair for 10 years before spending an additional five years as an advanced academics coordinator and curriculum writer.

Brooke Morris leads content creation for social studies at Lowman Education. She brings 12 years of experience teaching secondary social studies within two large Texas districts. Brooke has also served on various planning and curriculum committees and TEA’s Assessment Educator Committee.

Myka Agnew leads all content creation for math at Lowman Education. Her 18 years of secondary teaching experience spans from sixth grade to geometry. Myka’s previous experience also includes serving as a math department chair, a district curriculum writer, a mentor teacher, and an instructional coach.

Heather McFarland concentrates on elementary math content creation. Prior to joining Lowman Education, Heather spent a combined four years teaching math at the elementary and secondary levels. Heather also has previous experience as a collaborative learning facilitator and a campus math lead.

Lindsay Vanderburg leads all content creation for reading language arts. She brings almost 20 years of secondary English language arts and reading teaching experience. During this time, Lindsay also served as a department lead, as an instructional specialist and coach, and as a member of several curriculum selection committees. Lindsay has also worked as a reading specialist and dyslexia teacher.

Taylor Tuttle specializes in high school reading language arts content creation. She has 10 years of combined middle school and high school teaching experience with additional responsibilities ranging from curriculum selection and writing to instructional coaching and mentorship.

Beth Hamrick specializes in middle school reading language arts content creation. In addition to 20 years of secondary teaching experience, Beth has held leadership roles as a regional professional development coordinator and presenter, a literacy specialist, a curriculum writer, and an instructional coach.

Dale Suther specializes in elementary reading language arts content creation. Prior to joining Lowman Education, Dale spent 14 years in the classroom teaching fifth and sixth grade reading language arts. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Dale served as the reading language arts teaching lead for her campus and was charged with developing curriculum for the district.

Kari Ragain specializes in secondary science content creation. She brings five years of experience teaching middle school science and 12 years of experience serving as a middle school instructional specialist and coach. Kari also has experience designing and implementing professional development materials at both the campus and district levels.

Brittany Murray specializes in elementary science content creation. She spent 11 years teaching fourth through sixth grade science with most of that time focusing on her passion, fifth grade science, where she also served as the district team leader. Brittany was also an elementary campus instructional facilitator prior to joining our team.

Mitchell Kelley leads sales efforts for the south region. His 39-year career in Texas public education includes 23 years of classroom experience teaching world history, geography, and social studies, 12 years as a district administrator, two years as a region center accreditation specialist, and two years working for the TEA. As a former user of Lowman Education products, Mitchell now enjoys the opportunity of introducing the benefits of our products to customers.

Johnny Gomez leads sales efforts for the gulf coast region. His 10 years of education experience includes two years as a teacher and coach, five years as an assistant principal, and three years as principal. Johnny has played a foundational role in establishing Lowman Education’s sales efforts since its infancy. Highly relational, Johnny is passionate about connecting customers with other teachers and administrators who have found success using our products.

Cullen Carroll leads sales efforts for the east region. Prior to joining, Cullen spent 10 years working at campuses across east Texas as a teacher, a coach, an assistant principal, and a principal. As a principal, Cullen led economically disadvantaged and turnaround campuses back to being academically acceptable. Cullen has a deep knowledge of our products and enjoys helping customers implement them as a means to improve results.

Forrest Harding leads sales efforts for the panhandle and west regions. He brings 25 years of experience teaching and coaching across the south plains and Texas panhandle. He is passionate about people and helping introduce the benefits of our products to customers.

Brent Falls leads sales efforts for the north region. He has nine years of combined teaching experience in high school English and reading intervention. He was also a high school football, basketball, and powerlifting coach. Before going into education, he worked with a software management company as a trainer and product designer. Brent has deep product knowledge, and he enjoys training customers on how to maximize the benefits of our products.

John Lowman has led growth initiatives at Lowman Education since its infancy. He brings 34 years of experience in Texas public education as a bilingual teacher, coach, and principal. As a trusted advisor, friend, and mentor to hundreds of teachers and administrators across the state, John is passionate about helping Texas educators solve problems and promote learning.

Missy Hefty leads our training and customer success efforts at Lowman Education. Prior to joining Lowman Education, Missy spent 11 years teaching, four years as an instructional coach and specialist, 11 years in human resources and one year as a consultant at the Education Service Center at Region 10. She now leverages her diverse experience to help our customers unlock the full benefit of Lowman Education resources and improve their performance as educators.

Jordan Crase manages all content for the company’s digital platform, Lowman Digital. She spent seven years as a secondary technology and art teacher and three years working in the insurance sector prior to joining Lowman Education.

Candice Carroll supports digital content for the company’s digital platform, Lowman Digital. After spending four years in business, Candice found her way to the classroom, where she taught at the elementary level for eight years before joining our team.

April Cathriner manages all copyediting activities at Lowman Education. She brings eight years of multi-disciplinary teaching experience, including reading language arts, social studies, and writing at both the elementary and secondary levels. April leverages her classroom experience and astute attention to detail to ensure the precision and quality of our products.

Misty Bowers is a copy editor for Lowman Education. Her diverse experience includes six years as a secondary reading language arts teacher, nine years in print and broadcast journalism, and seven years as a nonprofit communications director.

Lisa Dorthy is a copy editor for Lowman Education. In addition to 10 years of copyediting and proofreading for a variety of publishers, Lisa has also spent 25 years in the classroom where she taught AP World History, speech and debate, government, economics, world geography, sociology, and psychology.

Katie Guitierrez is a copy editor for Lowman Education. She brings a unique blend of experience with six years as a language arts teacher, three years as a librarian, and three years as a newspaper editor.

Ashley Lucio is a copy editor for Lowman Education. Before joining the team, she spent 12 years teaching ELA and social studies at both the secondary and post-secondary levels. Additionally, Ashely created district-wide assessments for third through 12th grade and edited supplemental learning materials for K-12 curriculum.

Becky Stephens supports the content load for the curriculum team at Lowman Education. Prior to joining, Becky spent 15 years in the banking and mortgage industry.

Rebecca Pollard leads marketing and communication initiatives at Lowman Education. She has over 20 years of experience in public education as a high school student media adviser and teacher and has served as an instructional coach at the campus, district, state, and national levels. Rebecca has also written curriculum for the Journalism Education Association and served on its leadership team.

Robert Sorenson leads technology operations and solutions for Lowman Education. His extensive experience spans from teaching to data analysis, programming, and application development, making him a versatile and knowledgeable professional in the fields of education and technology. Prior to joining Lowman, Robert spent 14 years at a large Texas district serving in various capacities, including Advanced Data Analyst, Senior Programmer, Director of Data Analysis and Reporting, and Director of Application Development. Robert also has experience as a computer science instructor and program manager.

Matthew Robinson supports technological needs and development initiatives for Lowman Education. He has prior experience as a software engineer for both small business and nationwide companies.

Melissa Cavnor is part of our business operations and support services team. She brings 18 years of on-campus experience in supporting campus administrators and staff. Melissa brings a unique understanding of the daily rhythms and needs of campuses, and she leverages her knowledge to help anticipate and meet those needs.

Mia McCarthy is part of our business operations and support services team. Prior to joining, Mia spent four years supporting campus administrators and staff. Before entering into education, Mia spent 16 years as the business manager of her family’s multi-location restaurant business.

Robyn Willingham is part of our business operations and support services team. She also serves as conference coordinator and supports communication activities at Lowman Education. Robyn has 10 years of combined experience teaching RLA, math, and first grade.
